I love to travel very much and each time when possible I grab my camcorder with me.
In my opinion there are two main types of travelers: urban travelers and outdoor travelers. For the most people word travel means going to some country and explore city buildings, museums or some kind of old castles while other people will escape the city and find themselves at beautiful outdoors of urban's surrounding. Both types are great, but at the same time very different. At the end of the day the urban traveler will end up in a hotel after the hot shower and the outdoor traveler will end up in the camping tent or even will spend the night under the sky in a sleeping bag.
I am pretty much the second type of a traveler. I don't like staying in urbanized places too much. Thus my travel video clips are about the nature and outdoor activity. I constantly learn new things in the world of videography (and now in the world of sound capture as well) and try to improve my travel videos by making them more interesting, more attractive and informative to the viewer.

Horse riding in Borovetz, Bulgaria. Unfortunately for me, I could not participate in horse riding due to the recent surgery. This is my first movie that I used HDSLR camera for the video-graphy. The Image colors are noticeably better then Canon HF10 camcorder did but there are still limitation which come in inaccurate capture of the horizontal lines: moire. Shoot with Canon Kiss X4 DSLR.

Three day of trekking Rajef Inselbegs in Jordan. The mountains in that area very similar to the Eilat Mountains, but are much greater. For the map effects I used Google Earth this time due to the lack of a good map. Shoot with Canon HF10 HD camcorder. |

This has to be one of the interesting treks I made but due to the damage in my knee we with my friend had to come back the next day after we started hiking. Morning next day I had the opportunity to shoot some video footage, and actually was able to sell some of it about two month later. There is still one minute video of the failed trek in the desert at the spring. By the way, flowers in the desert looks very special! |

Dragot River in the Yehuda Desert is full of water at month of February. Furthermore, the water is damn cold! Due to the danger of the water for my camera I preferred to keep it in a waterproof bag on my back. So i did not really shoot during the hike. Shoot with Canon HF10 camcorder with segments grom Canon G9 still camera in movie mod. |

This is my second video in Eilat Mountains. This time I traveled with my friend only. We trekked the mountains for three days. The travel take places in Red Canyon, mount Amram and Amram Pillars. In this video I used the same technique at AE for the route appearing on the map in real time.

My first trek outside of Israel. in the Spain part of it. This is the first video I used graphic animations. Getting around After Effects took me several time so before I knew how to control it, I uploaded the to that travel video.
The challenge for me in the graphics was the moving in real time route of the track on the map.
Shoot with Canon HF10 HD camcorder.
My first trek outside of Israel. We, with my future wife, traveled the Spain side of Pyrenees Mountains. This is the first video I used graphic animations. Getting started with Adobe After Effects took me some time before I knew how to control it. So before the final version of the movie was publicized I uploaded the teaser version to that video.
In addition to the video, my wife designed a photo album for us, but it also available for preview and order at Blurb site. The album describes our experience of trekking with photos and descriptions in English and Russian languages.

This one is not at any kind of hike or trek, but outdoor activity indeed. That is my first horse ride I had in two days course. I shoot those clips at evening after the course has ended for the first day and at the morning the next day right before it started again. Captured with Canon HF10 HD camcorder. |
